Primo Humberto is located just a few feet away from Dorrego Square. It is basically a touristic bar in a large old renovated house where you can still see traces of the original architecture. It is a typical “chorizo” (“sausage”)house with open side patios, adobe walls, ceilings made of quebracho joists and rounded bricks and high glazed doors. Do you know what a “chorizo house” is? It is a house built on a large lot of land where the rooms are located one behind the other and are joined by a gallery connecting the interior with the exterior and a patio that runs parallel to the gallery. They are called “sausage” houses because of their elongated shape. There is an interesting double system of movement throughout the house, along the exterior through the galleries and patios, and the interior, by means of parallel doors which open up to the different areas of the house. This is where the different rooms of Primo Humberto are located. There are smoking and non-smoking rooms, open air and covered areas, at the front or in the back... you choose! There is live music from Monday to Friday and there are tango shows on Saturdays. Their menu is the same throughout the week and mainly includes Argentine-style grilled meat.
