In San Telmo you can enjoy a jam session (improvisation session), sway to the rhythm of a Big Band or sit and listen to thousands of different types of jazz. As soon as the music starts, everyone listens respectfully. It is easy to spot the fans: They're the ones swaying their heads from side to side to the music. The place is called "El Perro Andaluz," a Jazz Club that was named after Buñuel's classic film ("Un Chien Andalou"). It has recently changed to become a cultural bar for any kind of artistic expression, including theatre, literature, visual arts and the art form on which the bar originally focused: music. The bar is rectangular, with exposed brick walls. There is a very pleasant restaurant at the front, for about 30 people. One of their specialties is Spanish tapas. In the back there is a stage with a grand piano, more tables and a small bar.
