While window-shopping along Defensa street we come across \"Casa Rey\" (\"The King\'s House\"). Don\'t picture clothing from colonial times, when the country was ruled by the King of Spain or anything like that; the clothing sold here is very modern and urban. The windows are large, one for men and one for women, of course. Inside, the colonial architecture of this large store has been preserved and there is a very long wardrobe with large wooden shelves where the clothing is piled up. The sales people use long sliding ladders such as those used at industrial hardware stores in order to reach the highest areas. There are antique chandeliers, black and white lime tile floors, high ceilings and antique counters which were once used as work tables, where the accessories are displayed. Lastly, there is a staircase that leads you to an intermediate floor where you will see a sofa and many boxes and \"separate\" garments. It is reminiscent of that part of the bedroom that we never feel like tidying up; a refreshing informal touch.
