This Gallery was opened in April, 2007 on Defensa Street. It used to be on Chacabuco Street, when it was called Incubadora, but has preserved the same criteria for the selection of art works and is run by the same people. This art gallery exhibits and sells exclusively Argentinian and contemporary art and is nothing like an antique shop. It includes a bit of everything: sculptures, paintings, engravings and very strange design items, for example some bright-colored balls with a representation of ants walking over them. Currently there is an exhibition of collectible toy cars, the ones that were used by children in the olden days, although these were made by an artist by hand and not in a factory. This gallery is run by Adrián Galmarini and Carlos Scaramella. Carlos is a renowned artist who has set up joint and individual exhibitions in Buenos Aires and New York and has received various awards. In Casart of course, Carlos has his own space, where he exhibits aerial views of different streets of the city of Buenos Aires, using shadows to alter the real proportions of people and architecture.
A different viewpoint of Buenos Aires, a different viewpoint about art.
