In front of Lezama Square, the colorful murals on the façade, with local "filetes" (a typical kind of local painting), decorate the entry to this tango bar where the movies "La Lección de tango" and "Assassination Tango" were filmed. This place doesn't offer shows "for export," but concerts by famous artists and young musicians that are at the forefront of tango music in the city. It is also primarily a tango dance school. And, in addition to all of the above, there are free open milongas on Sundays. Highly recommendable. Who has visted this place? Shakira, Guidon Kremer, Robert Duvall, among others.

Son dos referentes del nuevo tango canción. Lidia Borda y Gullermo Fernández compartirán las noches de los jueves de mayo en un reducto típico tanguero de San Telmo.
Junto a Ariel Argañaraz en guitarra y Daniel Godfrid en piano compartirán escenario con estilos distintos y el mismo amor por la música ciudadana.

I was fortunate enough to visit Centro Cultural Torquato Tasso in July, 2008. What a beautiful, intimate venue! That was a great evening with a couple of my \"porteño\" friends, a bottle of wine, and the music of Teresa Parodi (Misiones). An unforgettable evening.
