At Defensa 891 there is a shop that is hard to miss, maybe because it has 2 red armchairs at the door and two large windows, or maybe because it is located between two antique shops. "Un Lugar en el Mundo" is a shop created by Silvia Álvarez Castillo, an avant-garde designer of San Telmo and a pioneer of this "movement" which has become quite common. No one who comes to this shop can avoid being fascinated by the originality and quality of each design. An even bigger surprise is the display of various original Pucci dresses, with their mythical prints which were all the rave in the 60s and have become collecter's items. "Come on! There must be some secret to this," you may exclaim. Well, there is. Silvia is the mother of Federico Álvarez Castillo, a founding partner of Etiqueta Negra, a prestigious men's clothing brand that was founded on Humberto Primo Street, just a few feet away from Plaza Dorrego. Both of them seem to have the same pursuit related to the world of fashion and design.
