The legendary theatre "Los Teatros de San Telmo" ("The Theatres of San Telmo," in plural) closed down around ten years ago and it was only in that large building commonly known as Espacio Giesso where activities related to visual arts were also performed. Acting classes were given here by director Néstor Romero, who convinced Osvaldo Giesso to reconsider the possibility of reopenning this theatre, which was inaugurated in 1972 and staged plays by great artists of independent theatre. As a result, this theatre reopened in late 2007, with seats for 120 people, a new stage and modern lighting. Many theatre-related cultural activities are organized here, although other types of activities are carried out as well.
