Just a little historical information to set the right mood: this two-story building dates back to 1860 and includes 66 rooms and beautiful Spanish patios. The hotel\'s story of immigrants full of expectations did not last long, since during the yellow fever epidemic the rooms were used to treat the ill and the Old Hotel became a hospital. It was later used as a \"conventillo\" (a tenement for poor families in the early 20th century) and a boarding house. More recently, in 1980, it became a center for art, culture and music, where you would find antique dealers and ateliers. Another significant piece of information is that it was declared a place of Touristic Interest by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires.
