La Scala de San Telmo is a non-profit assiciation which was founded in 1993 and operates in a bright building that dates back to the late 19th century. This buidling has been recycled and its original decoration and structure have been preserved. It has a completely equipped room with an excellent piano, which is said to be the best piano in Buenos Aires. The artists and their public can meet in its two beautiful patios with flowers and an interesting bar that is also used as an art gallery. The aim of the foundation is to promote the music of talented Argentine artists. La Scala is open to all artistic activities in general. The Artistic Director, Eduardo Cogorno, says \\\"There are no restrictions with regard to the genre, if the quality of the work is good, they can perform here.\\\" It is a place for good musicians and people who love good music. You should visit it even if you are not one of them.
