Fundación Tántica (Galleries)

San telmo 7
Location
The Tacuarí gallery is located in a building in San Telmo that dates back to 1900, where the Eureka ink factory was once located. The original structure and most of its former factory-related characteristics have been preserved. It was originally remodeled to exhibit the collection belonging to businessman Juan Vergez and his wife, Patricia Pearson. The building\'s 3,600 m2 currently house the TANTICA (Trends and New Tendencies in Contemporary Art) foundation as well. This is a non-profit institution dedicated to promoting Argentine youth art around the country and abroad. Its exhibits include paintings, photographs, videos and life-like installation artworks: from a large carriage to a stage, doors, a bicycle, an elevator, lamps, tents, printing presses, balloons, scales and entire rooms that are built as required by the artist.
