Do you remember Nefertiti? Looking back in history, Nefertiti was an Egyptian queen in the 16th century B.C. and her name means “The queen has arrived.” It is a good name for this place, which seeks to transform San Telmo by creating a fantastic replica of an imaginary place in Egypt with Egyptian designs in each corner, not to mention the Menu, which includes the “Tabla Gran Nefertiti,” made of handmade cold cuts; or the “Lomo Nefernicara” (Nefernicara Tenderloin) and the King Tut salad (chicken, ham, pineapple, heart of palm and “salsa golf”(sauce made with ketchup and mayonnaise). Finally, for experts in wines and spirits, Nefertiti has a bar that includes drinks with Egyptian names, of course, such as: “Nefertiti” (vodka, triple sec, tangerine liqueur and fire) or “Toro Sagrado” (Sacred Bull) (speed with whisky). Aside from the Egyptian obsession, Nefertiti has different areas that are all charming in their own way. Firstly, there are tables on Plaza Dorrego where you can order the menus of the day at relatively affordable prices while watching a tango or folklore show by the many street artists that perform at the Plaza; there is also a ground floor with music and shows during the night, an air-conditioned environment, a cascade, murals and a bar; and lastly, there is a more intimate first floor with air-conditioning, a large screen, a stage, a balcony with a view of Plaza Dorrego and antiques on display, where smoking is allowed.
