On the street Estados Unidos between Chacabuco and Piedras, there is an old house with a colonial front. This is Casa de Luthiers, an interesting store that sells musical instruments. One part of the house is dedicated to the exhibition of antique musical instruments. Here one can find fine instruments from the XIX century and from the beginning of the XX century, as well as some rare instruments, like a violin-trumpet. The first floor serves as a workshop where instruments like violins, violas, and cellos are made or repaired. Many generations of Luthiers work together in the house on varios tasks. One is always welcome to visit.
