A field glass belonging to Beresford and San Martín's sword, Belgrano's watch and the flag of Ayohuma, an oil painting of Manuelita Rosas by Prilidiano Pueyrredón, Sobremonte's bed, the uniform worn by Güemes, oil paintings by Cándido López on the war of Paraguay and Mitre's "chambergo" (broad-rimmed soft hat.) A great part of the history of Argentina in the 19th century is represented in this big house located in Lezama Park, where the Museo Histórico Nacional (National Historical Museum) has been located since 1897. It is a mansion constructed by José Gregorio Lezama that includes an observation tower, 2 patios, a gallery and luxurious interior rooms with wood panelling on their ceilings.

Amo este lugar! cuando mis hijos eran chicos, los dejaba con mis padres en el parque Lezama y entraba en el museo, olvidándome del tiempo y viviendo toda nuestra historia a través de esas salas tan hermosas!!Ahora ya mis hijos crecieron, pero siempre quiero volver a ese lugar tan mágico. Lo haré muy pronto
