Campo Alto (Restaurants)

San telmo n
Location
This restaurant is located in one of the most beautiful areas in San Telmo. Its name (“Campo Alto” means “High Field”) refers to sheep grazing in the warm season and is related to the food that is served here: Traditional and typical dishes from the Argentine countryside made in a clay oven. Here the “colonial” empanadas filled with chopped meat are cooked in public view. They also make excellent Argentine-style grilled meat which is so characteristic of this country. The meat grilled in public view and is a truly mouthwatering sight. On the lower floor there is a wine cellar with prestigious national wines, a great selection of labels that is worth visiting. It is not necessary to wear “bombachas de campo” (typical gaucho pants that later became popular in the city) at the restaurant, but if you do, it will go very well with the environment.
