Carolina Ruscio's atelier operates in the Gallery of the Old Hotel (Viejo Hotel), a two-storey building which dates back to 1860 and was built to house immigrant families in the late 19th century. Carolina Ruscio is a young artist who was born in Argentina in 1976 and has done excellent work in painting.
Every day she goes up the old staircase and through a small door to her workshop on the first floor.
Ruscio works with canvas painting and looks into self-representation through the projection of femininity, on surfaces created by means of detailed work with lights and shadows.
