Haute Mediterranean cuisine created by Oriol Mur, a Catalonian and Karina Navarro, an Argentinian. Oriol came from Barcelona to settle in San Telmo with his wife Karina. Both are cooks. Oriol? We had never heard that name before. To satisfy our curiosity, we found out that it is Catalonian and it means golden (charming). It is not much information, but we were content with the answer. Let's continue. The restaurant L'Embruix opened in the year 2001 in the district of Eixample in downtown Barcelona. Oriol and Karina decided to move the restaurant to Buenos Aires for personal reasons. They sold everything and came to South America with all their knowledge. That is how their cuisine, with which they did so well in Barcelona, became so popular in our district. At this restaurant, without having to travel, you can enjoy crunchy ricotta canneloni, risotto with ceps and foie, rice cooked with broth and shellfish and goose magret with mango textures, among others. The dessert menu includes signature recipes. The restaurant never ceases to amaze us and we can summarize a description of the place in three words: fashionable, fashionable, fashionable. The rivetted iron columns, impeccably restored brick vaults, incredibly high ceilings, marble floors, stainless steel everywhere and modern lighting give the environment a sophisticated touch. Is it possible to use a more accurate adjective? Finally, we must not forget to mention the mural on one of the walls of the restaurant, and especially the artist that painted it: Karina. There is free parking for customers.
