"El Caliban" is an independent theatre run by Norman Briski, which was founded in 1987. It promotes experimental theatre, especially group work. It does not have a direct street entrance. Down a hallway you will see a room that has two floors, with no decorations, that are modified according to the performance that is being organized. This theatre has staged over 40 plays. It is also a school of drama and vocal technique for teenagers and adults. It organizes sseminars, conferences and other theatre-related activities. The theatre has a video set for filming and playing the scenes and exercises performed by its students, as well as an edit bay, photocopy machine, video library and library.
