Rajatabla (Furnitures)

Location
Walking down Balcarce, a narrow, cobblestone street full of colonial-style houses, green climbing plants and the characteristic silence of afternoon siestas, you will see a house with open doors. On the sidewalk there is a girl sitting on a wooden chair, an old tradition of our grandparents' generation, who we see in this environment that is reminiscent of olden times. Her name is Mercedes. The house dates back to 1860. It used to be a classic local bakery. It was later restored and now it is where Rajatabla is located. It has exposed brick walls, floors made of large floor tiles and a large window, from which the afternoon sunlight brightens up the atmosphere, as well as iron beams that extend up to the high ceilings. Rajatabla restores old wooden country-style furniture, such as the antique counters of old grocery stores, carpenters' stools, etc. The decorations in the place are very eye-catching: old aguayo (strong local linen)looms, suitcases for travelling, large tea cups, iron chairs and vases with yellow daisies, which contrast with the brown wooden furniture. Rajatabla, a place to relive memories and part of our history.
