Silvia Castagnino is a contemporary Argentine artist who lives in General Pico in the Province of La Pampa. She has opened a new workshop in the San Telmo district as a sort of communication bridge to promote her artistic work. She mainly works with oil and acrylic techniques on canvas. But her inclination towards different textures has led her to experiment with different unconventional materials with overlapping levels and different types of compositions. She works with expanded polyurethane, polyester resin and overlapping levels to create an appropriate foundation for her paintings. The critics who have analyzed her compositions emphasize the fact that they express her emotions towards life, making an event out of her personal mood, which is communicated without words by means of her artwork. In the past few years she has been working with contemporary jewelry in order to bring the concept of her paintings to objects.
