This restaurant is located on a sunny corner one block away from Dorrego Square. It is open from breakfast till dinner. The menu is simple, but the food is tasty. One of the advantages of this place is that the kitchen is open the whole day. Therefore, if you want to have a steak at 5:00 p.m. you can have it here at a very affordable price!! The waiters wear bow ties and striped jackets. They are real waiters, not like those who wear aprons. They are all reaching retirement age but they work with the same passion as before.
The owners of this bar are from Galicia. When you are here, you can sense that their work was passed down from generation to generation. We did not confirm this information because it was not necessary: it is completely evident. We suggest that you not go on Sundays, since it is so near to Dorrego Square that it is always full of people.

A staple in San Telmo..in ten years of living in Buenos Aires Caracol always is my go to for homemade meals,never once has the food been less then perfect even when delivered!

Hace 60 años que conozco ese bar.Allí iba con mis amigas a tomar algo a la salida del colegio.Un lugar inolvidable para los que amamos San Telmo.

Los platos del día, como las recomendaciones del cheff son exquisitos, el menú tiene un precio ecónomico, y la comida es de primera....super recomendable
