"Caras y Caretas" is a magazine that became an important part of the construction of Argentina and its identity. This was the name given to this Cultural Center that aims at promoting these values and was founded with the support of renowned intellectuals, scientists and artists who form part of an Advisory Council through which they contribute their talent and knowledge in the fields of cinema, conversation, debate, editions, theatre, art, artistic items, music and the laboratory of Argentine thought. With this aim, it has carried out different activities, including plays, cabaret shows, activities for children, documentary films, debates and meetings with important public figures from Argentina and abroad. It is located in a house that belonged to the family of Manuel Belgrano (one of Argentina's forefathers), and is one of the few constructions from colonial times that is left in the city; it is considered a national historical monument. This large house has a beautiful central patio full of plants, where you will find a shop in which the people attending the seminars and shows can try typical Argentine dishes.
