En lo que antes fue un local de las "Grandes Carnicerías del Plata", hoy se ubica una parrilla. De su historia pasada, se conservan intactas las "gancheras" donde se colgaban las reses, la cortadora de carne, la cámara frigorífica, las paredes cubiertas de azulejos, el piso de mosaicos calcáreos en blanco y negro y viejas fotografías en monocromas del viejo comercio. Sin embargo, no se trata de una máquina del tiempo directo que nos transporta a aquella época, ya que a pesar de conservar todos estos detalles, se crea un ambiente muy actual que predispone para disfrutar una excelente parrillada disfrutando de la mejor carne argentina. Muy importante: mesas sobre una anchísima vereda donde podrá almorzar o cenar al aire libre. En esta misma vereda, encontrará a Rosita, la informal cuidadora de autos. En el barrio le dicen "La Gorda". Lo recibirá con una botella en una mano y un cigarrillo en la otra y un cordial e infaltable "Hola amigo". Tenga confianza, hace muy bien su trabajo!

Hoy concurrimos con mi esposa Celina al medio dia y fuimos excelentemente atendidos, esto invita a que volvamos otra ves.el mozo que nos atendio, de "cabeza rapada", se va a recordar como los que nos gustava lo dietetico,.El an, el vino, la gaseosa y los porotitos excelentes. jaja, gracias por ser bien atendidos

Well !! came back again as promised and once again was not disappointed - a fabulous restaurant - with great food, service, atmosphere and prices. Particularly like the bife de lomo although I did taste the Asado and it was nice ( a bit too fatty for me but each to their own !!) but I much prefer the sirloin or the medallion. Excellent wine and salade - a top class restaurant - I will be back again and again !!!

Went here for a meal one night as I had reasearched Traditional Argentine Parrillas on the net and it came up with this one. The place was fantastic - wonderful blend of old and new decor and welcoming waiters and staff. The food was the main event - excellent choriso, bife de lomo, salade mixta and a nice malbec to wash it all down. I didn't go for the postre but they did look wonderful. Going back to B.A. in February and will definately go here again !!! Bigmac

I recently spent a wonderful week in Buenos Aires having many memorable meals, but the culmination was my birthday dinner at Parilla del Plata. Try the grilled sweetbreads to start, delectable, the steaks superb, the service excellent, the atmosphere warm and friendly and good wine! I can't wait to go back to Bs As and to have another great experience here. Highly recommended.

I was in BA for six weeks last summer and I lived a half block from this place. Lucky for me, because it was my fave restaurant in the whole city! The food is top quality and the prices are unbeatable. Wine for 4 pesos, a delicious steak for 25 or so. Great service, great food, highly recommended.
